Howard Street is another Salem Cemetery, although not as old as Old Burying Point. This cemetery is reputedly very haunted since it’s right in front of the old Salem prison. We went on a ghost walk at night, but sadly I didn’t get anything interesting on film. So these daytime photos will have to do.
Not sure what, but something was here at one time. In the background is part of the old prison.
I am fairly certain that last photo is where Giles Corey was crushed to death with the weight of stones–his fate after being accused of witchcraft, but refusing to plea (doing so would mean his heirs would not receive his property).
